Sunday, our rest day that we had so looked forward to turned out to be quite interesting. When we woke up we were really hungry and both wanted some yogurt and granola before we went to church. We got out the GPS and looked for grocery stores. To keep a long story short we got really lost and walked about 10 miles and downed a quart of yogurt and half a box of granola apiece before church. We went to church at Central First Assembly of God, but after the service was over we didn't have anyone say hi to us or ask us what we were doing! That was kind of a bummer but as we were walking back to camp this little old lady called over to her front porch and started questioning us concerning our faith in Jesus Christ. It was quite fun to talk to her and we both left with smiles. Once we got back to camp we slept and were going to take a beastly walk back to Wal Mart for dinner when this lady
asked us if we would like their dinner leftovers! Ultimately, ir was an awesomw rest day!

Hey everyone,
Sorry we havn't updated in a while but we havn't had service in 5 days.
Thursday evening we made it to Missoula MT. While there we met a man, Matthew who was biking across the Country to raise money for 2 girls with leukemia. We were able to camp with him by the side of the road and the river. We spent hours talking and making wonderful breakfast burritos. We found out that he had been a youth pastor back in Kentucky. In the morning we were able to read the word together and Nathan and I were able to pray over him, especially for his bike trailer because it was falling apart.
Today we made it to Great Falls MT and we are excited for Church tomorrow and a day of rest.

One thing that I forgot to mention about the 12 flats that I got yesterday is that Erik had prayed that somehow we would get ahold of a tire. We happened to stop at a tiny little store by a campground and a lady overheard us asking about tires and informed us that her husband had a spare. We were elated and followed here down to the campsite to get it. But instead of getting a new spare we instead got an old tore off the husband'S bike tire and helped him replace the tire he gave us with the old spare. Okey so we were really thankful to get the tire and it seemed to be a clear answer to prayer but barely a mile down the road we got another flat! Yeah, another flat. When we looked more closely at the tire we recieved it had several holes in it and we were promply like umm...God? But then we remembered that when we helped the guy replace his tire he had a rubber lining inbetween the
tire and the tube. With the remeberance of the lining we grabed an old tube from out of our packs

Day 3

Well hello everyone,
Praise the Lord for all that He has done so far. It is finally sunny after two days and three nights of getting rained on. The Lord has protected us so far (thanks for all the prayers) even though we have ridden on a couple of freeways on accident already. Getting through Portland was one crazy maze, but thanks the gps we made it. We are now at the library Hood River, Oregon, eating some tuna on tortillas and waiting for the gps to get charged.
God has really been blessing our daily devotions that we are having each morning before we start. Yesterday we read 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, "Let no one despise your your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, on conduce, on love, in spirit, inn faith, in purity." Nathan's and my desire is for this to be true throughout our trip.
We have met met a couple of people along the way. The first day we met Frank who lived in Longview, Washington. He had not driven a car and only ridden a bike for the last four years. He was very excited for our trip and he wanted to be able to drop everything and go along with us. Today we talked to a cigar smoking forest ranger for a while. We have yet to have any deep conversations with others but we are still asking God for the opportunity and the boldness to share Gods love with others.
Well thanks for all the prayer and we will try and keep you all posted as soon as we have internet again.

Well, we got up at around 5:30 today and got in about 70 miles by early afternoon! Yeah, I (Nathan) had a flat this morning and it rained profusely, but praise the Lord we're still alive lol (mostly). we're at Starbucks right now and as soon as we finish these bagels we'll have to get looking for a campsite and turn in for the night. But as I'm posting this Erik says he wants to post this verse; 1st Tim 3:8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere. There you have it, our trip verse. And we intend to pray everywhere across the country! Oh, we made it to a town called Longview.
